KaZaA Speedup is written for KaZaA Media Desktop users who wish to leave their computer on overnight for unattended downloads. It was created for that purpose, but it will work fine for any unattended downloading. It would even work while you are working at your computer. The problem with bringing the Kazaa window into the foreground every time Kazaa Speedup finds more sources has been fixed. Now KaZaA Speedup 3.05 works 100% silently! This release was tested on Windows 95/98/2000/XP, but should work fine with Windows NT/ME. It was also tested with KaZaA Media Desktop 1.7.1, 1.7.2, 2.1, and 2.5.

3. [How It Works]
KaZaA Speedup works by automatically searching for more sources at user-defined intervals in KaZaA. This will ensure that your bandwidth is used to its maximum capability, whether you are on a 56k modem dialup, or an ADSL broadband connection. As afore mentioned, you may choose how often KaZaA Speedup finds more sources, depending on which works best for your connection. You may also define how many simultaneous downloads you would like at the same time. The settings are saved when you exit the program, and will be auto-loaded next time you start up KaZaA Speedup.
4. [Installation and Setup]
Just double click on the .exe file, it will automatically set up KaZaA Speedup for you.
KaZaA Speedup will put itself into the system tray once minimized and will not get in your way. You may still access its functions by right clicking on the sys tray icon and selecting from the popup menu.
5. [Known Bugs]
***
KaZaA Speedup may cause KaZaA to crash if the user simply starts up KaZaA, minimizes KaZaA to the system tray, and enables KaZaA Speedup, without first going to the traffic window. This shouldn't be a problem for most users because most users either don't minimize Kazaa to the system tray, or they go to the traffic window at least once when they're downloading.
Work-Around: Each time you start up KaZaA, simply go to the "Traffic" window at least once, OR do not minimize KaZaA to the system tray.
Note: After you go to the Traffic window at least once, you may leave KaZaA in which ever window you like, KaZaA Speedup will automatically switch to the right window.

***
KaZaA Speedup MAY resume KaZaA downloads even if the "Auto Resume Downloads" option is unchecked. This is a problem with KaZaA NOT KaZaA Speedup and is caused when KaZaA disconnect from the internet and reconnect. There will be a workaround for this in the next release.
Work-Around: Make sure the downloads that you want paused are at the bottom of the download list.
